Creative Conscious – Gender equality

This year, under the influence of covied-19, many people have started to work from home. Phenomena such as the different division which is unevenly distributed of domestic responsibilities in the family also manifested themselves. This is the theme of my current project. I prefer to discuss social issues in the selection of my work topics.
My motivation for continuing this project is that I am increasingly feeling the malice of men towards women among strangers in social media. Through my research and analysis of the data, a large percentage of men believe that women should take care of all the chores at home and that men can stop taking care of the chores after they have taken on the responsibility of earning money to support the family. As Planned Parenthood points out, “Every society, ethnic group, and culture has gender role expectations, but they can be very different from group to group” (Naomi, 2019). Women are given more gender role expectations to take care of their families, while men are given more social work role expectations. Men don’t have a real sense of how much women have given when all the responsibility for the home and childbirth rests on them. This is what I wanted to express and address in this project.
The theme of my application design is about gender equality. The name of my project is Rush 24-Hours. I made a game app in which players can follow a schedule to run a household and complete small tasks. It was named Rush 24- Hours because I wanted the schedule in the game to correspond to the twenty- four hours of a full day in real life. Players complete the game through a 24- hour simulation to achieve the effect of experiencing the effects of a full day of family work.

The theme of my work is gender equality and helping to equalize women’s rights. However, the majority of my target audience are men. I believe that women are not the only ones who can help women, but that men’s awareness can be raised to better help and assist women. The ultimate goal of my work is to have men who have experienced something through the game and take the initiative to help women in their lives to share the responsibility of the family.
